Our City

Located in the heart of the Kootenai River Valley, the town of Bonners Ferry serves as a scenic international gateway into Idaho. Our town, nestled along the Kootenai River, flows north up to Canada and forms the Kootenai Valley, which is known as one of the richest agricultural areas in the state. The heavily forested Selkirk, Cabinet and Purcell mountain ranges frame the valley and provide recreation as well as a sustainable timber industry. These mountain ranges provide an abundant amount of outdoor recreation that exists right out of your front door. Our area offers a feeling of privacy without being out of reach from the big city amenities. The town of Sandpoint, known for taming the shores of the fifth deepest lake in the nation and offering world class skiing at Schweitzer Mountain, is only a short drive south. Spokane, the second largest city in Washington State, is just located south west from our town of Bonners Ferry. Here we have an international airport, a sporting arena, and large concert venues.
